The Fox Inn FC was established in 2009 the team has been set up to help raise money for the York Marie Curie Cancer Care. Money made through the season will be split between the club to help with running costs and the Marie Curie Cancer Care. in our first season we raised over £2500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care

We are passionate about providing the best possible care and support for cancer patients and their families. We do this through our Marie Curie Nurses working in the community and our 10 hospices.
We are passionate about ensuring patients have choice of their place of care at the end of their life. Research shows most cancer patients would like to be at home at the end of life, surrounded by friends, family, familiar objects and perhaps pets. A sizeable minority would like to be cared for in a hospice. However, more than half of all cancer deaths still occur in hospital � the place
patients least want to be.
Marie Curie Cancer Care has been campaigning for three years to ensure more cancer patients � and those with other life-limiting illnesses � can make the choice to be cared for in the place of their choice at the end of life.
We�re also passionate about research, with world-class teams of doctors and other healthcare professionals investigating better ways to provide palliative care for patients and scientists at the Marie Curie Research Institute looking at the causes and treatments of cancer.
